I love this felter.  It hold 5 needles that are inserted threw a screw top.

The clear gaurd locks, and then unlocks to be used.  The clear gaurd stays in place and moves inside the handle to let the 5 needles out into the wool... so there is little risk of finger puncture.  Felt a lot quicker with this!
